We are taking a poll on should we have a board to talk about Science Fiction. Please vote we need a lot of imput on this subject. Feel free to advertise your side in a reply.

After reviewing number of threads, and the number of replies to said threads, I think making a board to talk about Science Fiction would not be a good idea. It would seem that the majority of Science Fiction material thus far is located in the General Board, and most of those have pretty much been dead ends. When I say dead ends, I mean that only one or two people have posted and the amount of replies have been minicule. The successful Science Fiction topics seem to be those that have been relating to games (ex. www.jupitercodes.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1137358183 and www.jupitercodes.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=GM&action=display&thread=1145587819). Also, from the lack of members in www.scifiastronomy.proboards43.com/ (which has been linked to from this forum, and provided a outlet for Science Fiction enthusiasts) it appears that not many people from this forum have a strong interest in Science Fiction. Only two people have posted in www.scifiastronomy.proboards43.com/, one whom is known to be in association with this forum and has done most of the posting and another who has posted once and, as far as I can tell, is not associated with this forum. I do not feel that the section would be much used, and would, instead, just add to the clutter. |

The board would give a place to place those scifi posts that have no where to go. Also everyone could just go to Scifi Astronomy like you said though.
