Halo 2

Halo has a story of humans at war on a ring with an alien race and later at war with a fearing little creature called the flood. The ring is designed to destroy the universe and it is to be destroyed in the first and in the second it is to be stoped at first and to defend Earth.

Not to be mean, but I think you should check your story a little Dan
In Halo 2 there was never a threat to Earth.
The only reasons the aliens attacked(with an incredibly small fleet) was ti distract us during there investigations with the second ring.
The Elite who was incharge of protecting the first ring in Halo 1 was called a heritic (trator) for letting you destroy it.
Being such a strong leader they couldn't just kill him so they turned him over to the ultimate Prophits.
They decided to make him like a secret agent, called arbitur, who would do little missions that the rest of the confederacy would not know about. These missions were so crazy death is almost inevidable so they will be satisfied eventually.

This is when you start playing as the Arbitur.

At the end of the story the Humans aree able to disamr the universe ending machine(the halo) at the last second. Thus learing that there is a total fo 9 halos and all of the alliens are working on starting those up two.\

Halo 3 is gonna be an amazing story about disarming the new halos.

If you want to know why the aliens want to destroy the universe thats a different and longer story-ask away but i don't have the time right know.

and how would you know the story to a game you havn't beaten yet?

I have seen most of the first game and a bit of the second. I saw the begining and end of both of them.

First off, it's never usless nonsense when the word "Halo" is somewhere in the topic. Secondly, Halo 2's story was pretty good I guess, but a lot people don't play games for the story. The best thing about this game is the multiplayer mode. It's fast paced and easy to learn. (well, for some anyways) This game is easily the second best game of all time in my book. ;D

Good point fayt, but if your gonna post the "general basic view of a game" that you don't even own, I sugjest getting the story right............../

I guess thats right, and my favorite game is easily The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time for N64 or Gamecube. But back to the subject, Halo 2 has amazing graphics and the idea to put in symbols for your character whether he's an elite or spartan was great. It helps for clans or teams.

Fayt I was talking about them debating on who was right and who was wrong that is useless, anyways, I did like what I saw about the game when I saw it at the party during multiplayer mode although I never played it.

never played a first person shooter so why not start with "The Best".

In multiplayer with Vehicals I will perfer to go strait to a ghost. A ghost is an Covenat hovercraft like weapon that is used in both Halo and Halo 2. The tanks are nice too.

Ghosts are good, so are other vehicles. But if you rely on vehicles too much (like I used to sort of) it'll make you much worse at normal gun using, and since a lot of levels are without vehicles you'll need the gun skills.

I agree with fayt on that one-using vehicles realy slows down your sills.
Another thing that ruins all of your sills is playing the 1 player mode on a difficulty level that is way to easy for you.
You might thin that more practice helps, but trust a veteran-it will screw you up BAD.
Even though winning is fun, playing in difficulties that are almost to good for you gets you way better-thats why if you buy it for the first time don't play it on easy the first time.
Start it on normal-its not that hard and you will get good fast!
(btw one of the bottuns on my eyboard doesn't type anymore-the first one that figures it out by reading this post and posts the right ey first wins a dollar!)-if i have told you before this you do not count in the competition!
