there not only in japan- theres even a HUGE nintendo factory/office building in washington. I have seen it a couple times, but its off limits to the public.-its about mid-state, a little before you get to tacoma

It helps that the owner is Japanese, but anyways, I think doubling the graphics with every system was a way to remind them when to make a nw system- right when they get the abilities to make a system with twice the bits as the last one, that is decent, they went ahead and started designing. It prolly was also just an easy way to go up in bits instead of just making random numbers.

If I remember correctly binary gives two choices, on and off, commonly shown with the numerical values of one and zero. So one digit gives two different choices, two digits give 4 different choices, 3 digits give 8 different choices, etc. So each time they can increase the amount of digits they can use for graphics, the space doubles, right? Then again, what do I know. I can't even pick up on sarcasm most of the time.
