Only thing is that there is no other up there. I think that Episode 6 was the best, I think it had the best scipt and best story to it.

From Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1, the resent episode.
I was just guessing now we should get back to the topic of best star wars film.

Well, Episode IV: A New Hope, won 6 Oscars and had 28 other wins, a feat that none of his other Star Wars films came close to matching. That would make some say that it is the best film. Episode I and IV are the only self-sufficient movies in the Star Wars series. I mean that they contain needed character development and have a plot that can stand alone. That makes them better, in my opinion, than the others in their respective trilogies (episodes IV, V, VI being the old trilogy and episodes I, II, III being the new trilogy). However, if you combine episodes V and VI together it is better than episode IV, in my opinion. Episode IV may be the best in that it has the most awards and that it is self-sufficient, but that does not mean it is my favorite. I will agree that Episode VI: Return of the Jedi has the best script. Although, I could make excuses as to why that would not contribute much to its ranking.

I like episode VI, it is the best in my opinion, the story line comes to a head in that movie, the other two are all leading up to the climactic ending. All the main characters come back and the whole thing ends in one big BANG. Also it was the biggest part of the wonderful world that is now called CG, it pushed the tech forward an imeasurable amount. It was a large contribution to the wonderful television series that we call STARGATE.
